MEDIA2TEXT TERMS OF SERVICE
1. OVERVIEW
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Media2Text (“Service”).
By using the Service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years old;
- You have read and understood these Terms;
- You have reviewed the Privacy Policy;
- You agree to be bound by them in full.
Media2Text provides automated transcription of audio and video files into text using artificial intelligence technology (fine-tuned OpenAI Whisper model).
2. ACCEPTABLE USE
You are responsible for the content you upload.
By using the Service, you represent that your uploaded files:
- Do not infringe any copyright or intellectual property rights;
- Do not contain illegal material;
- Do not violate the laws applicable to you.
You may not use the Service for:
- Distributing extremist or unlawful materials;
- Promoting violence, discrimination, or hate speech;
- Violating personal data protection laws;
- Any unlawful or abusive purpose.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
3. PRIVACY AND DATA PROCESSING
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you consent to data processing under:
- Articles 6 and 7 of the GDPR (where applicable);
- Law No. 94-V of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All rights in the Service’s software, design, and technology belong to the Service owner.
You retain ownership of the media files you upload.
Transcription results are provided to you for personal use. You are solely responsible for how you use those results.
5. SERVICE QUALITY AND LIABILITY
Transcription accuracy depends on factors outside our control, including recording quality, background noise, and speech clarity.
We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. You should review results before relying on them for professional, legal, or business purposes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for:
- Any consequences arising from your use of transcription results;
- Lost profits or indirect damages;
- Unauthorized use of the Service by third parties.
6. PLANS AND PAYMENTS
Media2Text offers the following plans:
- Free Plan — limited transcription volume;
- “Standard” — 450 minutes per month;
- “Pro” — 1,350 minutes per month;
- “Freedom” — prepaid usage model.
Paid plans are currently under development.
Once the Service is published in Google Play, payments will be processed via Google Play’s in-app purchase system. Until payment functionality is activated, no payments are accepted through the Service.
After activation, refunds will be handled according to Google Play policies. Until then, refund provisions do not apply because no payments are processed.
7. TERMINATION
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND GOVERNING LAW
We encourage disputes to be resolved through good-faith negotiations.
If no resolution is reached, disputes shall be submitted to the courts at the location of the Service owner.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with GDPR requirements applying to users located in the European Union.
9. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect.

Appendix A – Technical Requirements
Supported formats: MP3, WAV, MP4. Other formats are not supported.
Maximum file size per upload depends on your plan:
- Guest — up to 100 MB
- Standard — up to 200 MB
- Pro — up to 350 MB
- Freedom — up to 350 MB
Recommended maximum duration per upload: 120 minutes.
Supported languages: English and Russian.
